Would a true feminist hope for destruction of the Taliban?

Or would she view war as abhorrent to feminist ideals and prefer the women of Afghanistan remain under the thumb of the Taliban while the western world tried to cajol the Taliban via UN condemnations or similar??Would a true feminist hope for destruction of the Taliban?
War is not abhorrent to feminist ideals, I think. Women have fought many wars, although not with so much violence, to get society to accept their rights as equals to men. This war against Taliban is just another war. I dont agree in the downright destruction of afghan or Iraq because that is setting back the places of women for generations. (In wars, the victims are 80 percent of the time women and children) I dont agree in destroying the Taliban either, but what they are doing to women is wrong and should be fought against ifthey refuse to change their ideas about women. But then again, we also have to think about what other women want in the MIddle East. If they believe that submitting to men is their submition to Allah (although I think this entirely based on brainwashing).. who are we to tell them what they need? Theres so many layers involved, so its really hard to say. I guess what should be opposed is the forced submition of women to men, it should be entirely left up to the women without any threats of being hurt or killed.Would a true feminist hope for destruction of the Taliban?
The Taliban is an evil organization.

As a Feminist, I do wish it destroyed.

War, however is against my value system.

There should be and probably is a better solution than this either/or scenario.

I will leave to greater minds to discover it.

Good luck
You're assuming that the only way to ';destroy'; the Taliban is through war. I think that Afghanistan would be better served if it did not allow the Taliban to control events in their country instead.

Better to evolve and not destroy.
As terrorism (that is State and guerrilla) is deeply rooted in patriarchy; of course most feminists would like to see acts of terrorism non-existent.
I'm glad you're home and hope you understand that I do hope for the destruction of the Taliban and others like them, but I want it done at home and not in foreign countries. I want our country protected, not a foreign country protected. I support the troops in defending us HERE. We have some open borders that we could use help closing.
Andrea Dworkin cheered on the Taliban, but she is not a true feminist in my opinion.
There is nothing wrong with the Taliban. The USA actually helped the Taliban when Afghanistan was getting attacked by Russia. The Taliban help protect the women from doing harmful acts and unIslamic things like interacting with the opppsite sex until marriage like they are trying to do now.
Why would we want any woman to be under the thumb of religious extremists? We hate war and terrorists equally.
