I am hoping to have a little girl next. I have heard that there are tricks to conceiving one or the other. I dont have a lot of faith in this but any advise or tips would be appreciated. I'm just really curious!I have heard there are tricks to conceiving a boy or girl,I hope to have a girl next. Is this true?Any advise?
The Shettles Method

This method of gender selection has been around since the 1960s. Dr. Landrum Shettles, MD, author of How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby, recommends methods of gender selection most upheld by scientific evidence and without costly or controversial medical procedures.

The basic premise is that men produce two types of sperm, the X (female) and Y (male). According to Dr. Shettles' studies, the male (Y) sperm are smaller and weaker but faster than the female (X) sperm, which are bigger, stronger, and slower. Understanding this information helps in manipulating the sex of your child.

The Right Time

The most important factor in gender selection is the timing of intercourse during the monthly cycle, so the woman must be familiar with her menstrual cycle. She can learn more about this by following natural family planning methods (including charting her basal body temperature and tracking her cervical fluid), and using ovulation predictor kits, available at most pharmacies.

The Shettles method believes that the closer to ovulation you have sex the more likely it is that you will have a boy. However, if you have sex two or three days prior to the egg being released, you have a better chance of having a girl. Basically, if you have intercourse right at or near ovulation then the Y sperm will make it to the egg quickly and you will have a boy, whereas if the sperm is released two or three days before the egg, the Y sperm will die off and there will be more X sperm left waiting for the egg to appear and fertilization will most likely result in a girl.I have heard there are tricks to conceiving a boy or girl,I hope to have a girl next. its true to the fact that there are certain times of your cycle that you are more likely to conceive a boy and at other times your more likely to conceive a girl i think its four days after your period that is more likely for a girl
These legends have been around forever. Some people claim that when you have sex at a certain time of the month or in what position can affect what sex baby you have because male sperm and female sperm have different life spans and rates of speed. Most science says this is all crap and there is no way, short of gender selection by a fertility specialist, of having a baby of a certain sex. Nature does what it wants, with no real control being offered to you. If you still really want to try this anyway, you can go to webmd.com. They have some articles on things that a few doctors claim has some effect.
Sorry to tell hun it's a bunch of bull. It all depend on if you partner is spitting out the girl gene!! I wish i still remembered the names of the sites that i have researched but, i don't. Trust me i've tried i have 3 boys and unknown on the way.... Praying to god that he gives me a princess of my own.
male sperm swim faster, girl sperm live longer.

having sex a couple of days before ovulation means that it's more likely a girl sperm will get to the egg.

having sex when the egg is already there means it's more likely that a male sperm will get there first.

there are no guarantees.

after having been ttc for 16 months, i just have to say this. be happy with whatever you get! i would be happy with either. No, i would ridiculously ecstatic with either.
They say if you catch the ovulation early you get a girl and when you do it at the end of ovulation you get a boy I don't know how ture it is:)
TO BE HONEST, THERE IS NO WAY OF TELLING WHAT ITS GONNA BE UNTIL UR ULTSND. IT'S WHAT EVER GOD GIVE YOU , SORRRY
Be on bottom. Lay on back for a girl.
