Not actually true.....I hope?

Having spent most of his Naval life in the peak of health Chief Petty Officer Arkwright was surprised to be recalled to see the ships Medical Officer following his annual check-up.





';Not going to beat about the bush Chief'; he says. ';you`ve got `Yellow Fever`, worse than that you have `Yellow One` which is untreatable and always terminal. I`m so sorry';.


'; How long'; asked Arkwright ';. ';Probably about six months, go home and try to enjoy your time'; said the M.O.





Arkwright went home revealed all to the wife. After a few tears they decided to live life as normal as they`re able. But above all to be as happy as was possible.


';Come on Darling'; it`s Bingo Monday evening, you`ll enjoy it.





So along he goes , not really his cuppa tea but he doesn`t want what`s left of his life to pass him by.





';First the four corners'; for 50 quid calls the M.C Ted Bovis...... After only 4 numbers Arkwright shouts out BINGO ! ';amazing'; he`s told as he pockets the 拢50. '; Next the top line for 拢100'; says Ted .......after only 5 numbers called ';BINGO'; shouts Arkwright ! He pockets the dough and so the night goes....Middle Line, Bottom Line the Whole Card he scoops the lot.


';Right Countrywide Jackpot , standing at 拢125,000'; calls Ted .





Sure enough it`s really Arkwrights night, up he goes to collect the Cheque. ';Absolutely amazing'; says Ted . '; Never seen anything like it. You are a lucky, lucky man you`ve won everything'; he says.


';Not really so lucky'; says Arkwright ,'; I`ve got Yellow One ! '; '; F***ing Hell ! ';
