Would a true liberal in the Democrat party ever get elected can they only hope to win with a centrist?

only if there is enough liberals out there to vote them in. I don't know of that many liberals to be honest. and I live in a very Democrat town. and I know of not one centrist. personally, so if most town are like mine I would have to say no, But as you know some people keep their politics to them selves to keep peace in the office. There's no solid definition for a ';true'; liberal or ';true'; conservative. Centrist is a bit easier to define and therefor makes up the majority and will always be the winner.Would a true liberal in the Democrat party ever get elected can they only hope to win with a centrist?
there are enough conservatives whove seen the damage that an administration like the clintons can do unchecked that its extremely doubtul any true liberal could get elected in this country. the economy and political systems in the us simply couldnt handle the implied inept management. i agree with your thought of a centrist totally.
